Though Carl may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Carl touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Holmes and Kathleen Reed; his wife Rita Holmes; and his daughter Myschalyne Brunson (late Curtis). He is survived by: his children, Sherri Glisson (Ronald), Valencia Montgomery (Calvin), Carl Holmes Jr. (Vernice) and Lester Holmes (Miuko). He is also survived by three sisters, three brothers, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
