He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tyler Russell, Sr. and Ellen Hodge Russell; and his sister Doris Geddings. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Victoria L. Riles and Lewis Riles (April); his niece Rosanna Shirer; and his great-nephew Russell Shirer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home (515 Miller Rd, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sumter Cemetery (700 W Oakland Ave, Sumter, SC 29151).
