He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Phillips and Alma Reams Phillips; his son Steve Phillips; his siblings, Ray, Eddie Phillips and Catherine Doss; and his wife Elinor.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Adeline Phillips of Texas. He is also survived by nieces and a nephew from his brother.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sumter Cemetery (700 W Oakland Ave, Sumter, SC 29151).
