It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Chip Creech of Sumter, South Carolina, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on November 24, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fulton B. Creech, Jr. and Dorothy Mack Creech; his stepson Ronald Clemmons; and his grandson Zachary Tompkins. He is survived by: his wife Patty Gates Creech; his daughters, Laura Creech Tisdale (William) and Katie Creech Kinard (Brad); his stepchildren, Wendi Clemmons Burke (Jim) and Corey Clemmons (Heather); his grandchildren, Jay Tisdale, Jacob Sanders, John Bradley, Mary Frances, Elizabeth, Daniel Kinard, Steven Burke, Becca Hasbrook, Devon, Sidney, Charley and Morgan Clemmons; his brother Stephen M. Creech (Kathy); his brothers-in-law, Lester, Barry Bolen and John Benson; and his friends, E. J. Mercer, Harry Duke and Keith Williamson. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
