Coley Sims Jr. Obituary

Sumter, SC…Coley Sims, Jr., 55, of Sumter, died Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Prisma Health Tuomey, after a brief illness. He was born in Aiken, SC on July 30, 1965. Coley was born with special needs and was soon surrendered to the state. Unlike most children he was not only special because of his disability, but because he was chosen, chosen by his new mom, to be a part the Sumter family.

He enjoyed walking and loved music, especially Kenny G. Survivors include his "Mom", Thelma Sumter; foster family, Dr. Ph LCDR Jeffery L. Sumter (NaTache), Jimmie L. Sumter, Sylvia A. Sumter all of Sumter, and Janice L. McIntosh (Kenneth) of North Carolina; seventeen nieces and nephews; as well as a host of great nieces and great nephews.

The Home Going Service for Coley will be held, Saturday January 2, 2021 in the Chapel of Bullock Funeral Home. The service will be live streamed and may be viewed by visiting Coley's memorial page at BullockFuneralHome.com.
