He was predeceased by: his parents, Watkins Scott and Alice Nathaniel Scott; and his sisters, Gussie Gibson, Ethel Jones and Betty Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Lewis Scott; his children, Velda Waters (Arthur) of Columbia, SC, David Scott, Jr. (Venus) of Hillside, NJ and LoDonna Kemp (Randy) of Rock Hill, SC; and his sisters-in-law, Johnnie Mae Lewis, Daphine Taylor, Marie Harris and Albertha Davis. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
