She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Allen Thurmond and Edith Backus Smith; her brother Woodrow "Woody" Hunter, II; and her stepmother Shann Hill Thurmond. She is survived by: her husband William Franklin Farmer; her daughter Destiny Jeffords Calcutt (Brian); and her siblings, Allen B. Thurmond (Robin) and Lisa Thurmond Caughman. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
