He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell Wooten and Bernice Wooten (Crum); his wife Marylin Wooten; his children, Donald D. Wooten Jr. and Crystal Lynn Wooten; Billy Ray Wooten.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sandra Browning of Davin, Roger Wooten (Vickie) of Davin, Ronald Wooten of Davin and Perry Wooten (Connie) of Statesville, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
