She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph James, Sr. and Annie B. Blakely James; and her siblings, Edwin James, Joseph James, Jr., Malvenia James and Annie Mae James.
She is survived by: her children, Woodrow Bryant Singleton, Jr. (Denise Nelson), Joseph Brandon Singleton, Michella Leasha Singleton, Casey Alexander James, Jashua and Montes James; her close friend Woodrow Singleton, Sr.; and her sisters, Martha J. Dove, Mary Ellen Nance, Rosa Mae Marshall, Fannie James Dingle and Lucille James. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
