She was predeceased by: her spouse Hazel Mixon; her parents, Warner Hyatt and Pauline Nunnery Hyatt; and her brother Laverne Hyatt. She is survived by: her daughter Julie Ann Maddox (Tim); her grandchildren, Lauren Tidwell (Jonathan), Slade Mixon, Emily Harris and Brianna Harris; her godson Derek Dobyns; and her sister-in-law Mary Hyatt.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home (221 Broad St, Sumter, SC 29150). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery (802 N Guignard Dr, Sumter, SC 29150).
