She was predeceased by: her parents, Liston Bryant Best and Lissie Grantham Best; her sons, Timothy Porter and Edward D. "Eddie" Porter, Jr.; her grandson Robert "Austin" Porter; and her siblings, Leroy Best, Marshall Best, William "Billy" Best, Elizabeth Gaskins and Lillian Barnette.
She is survived by: her son Robert B. "Rob" Porter (Tonya); her granddaughters, Mary Elizabeth Porter and Katherine Abigail Porter; and her daughter-in-law Debbie Porter. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crosswell Baptist Church (604 Mathis St, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
