He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Reed and David White; his grandmother Rosetta Cousar; his great-grandparent Lydia Burgess; and his brother Lawrence Carter.
He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Ann Cousar, Gerome Cousar, James Carter, Jr. and Thomas Carter; his caregiver Linda Ham; and his close friend Stephanie Richardson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home.
