Elijah Miller Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elijah Miller Sr. (Sumter, South Carolina), born in Mayesville, South Carolina, who passed away on February 20, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wash Miller and Anna Harvin Miller Benjamin; his wife Lillie Mae Gregg Miller; his children, Annie Bette M. McFadden (Floyd) of Atlanta, Bessie M. Hannibal (Elijah) of Mayesville, Lousie M. Eaddy (James) of Mayesville, Elijah Miller, Jr. (Laura) of Sumter, Larry Miller (Delphine) of Sumter and Diana Miller; and his grandson Dominic Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Miller of Atlanta and Jeffery Miller of North Augusta; his adoptive sons, Kenneth Miller of Murfreesboro and William Miller (Tracey) of Chapel Hill; his sister Eva Mae Tripp of Charlotte, NC; his sister-in-law Gardenia "Dena" Benjamin (Tommy) of Washington, DC; his nephew Elijah Burgess (Diana) of Sumter; and his caregiver Betty Mae Baker of Sumter. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitations at the home of Elijah "Henry" Miller, Jr. from 3:00 – 7:00 p. m., 355 Planters Drive, Sumter.
