It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eliza Pearson of Sumter, South Carolina, who passed away on October 5, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Murray Pinkney, Sr. and Katie Smith Pinkney; her siblings, Murray Pinkney Jr., Wille "Bill" Pinkney, Robert of Washington, Charlie of Washington, Johnny of Washington, Henry Pinkney, Bessie Hawkins and Edna of Washington; and her siblings-in-law, Alma B. Pinkney, Millie B. Pinkney, Janie of Washington and Med Hawkins.

She is survived by: her husband Marion A. Pearson; her daughter Mironda Pearson; her granddaughter Isis Pearson; her sister Jacqui Pinkney (Jamie); and her sister-in-law Janet Pinkney. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
