She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Raymond Penney; her parents, Dr. Clarence E. "Sport" Saunders and Elizabeth Ann Tracques Saunders; her son Charles R. Penney, III; and her brother Swepson Harrison Saunders.
She is survived by: her children, Harrison Saunders Penney of Sumter and Ann Stewart Penney Oast of Norfolk, VA; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth McKenzie Oast Lazar (Dale Paul Lazar), Edward L. Oast IV (Michelle Elizabeth Oast) and Roma Jean Tracques Lazar.
