He was predeceased by: his parents, James Floyd Meador and Essie Lee Radford Meador; and his siblings, Mary Frances Meador, Betty Lou Meador, Geneva "Nemo" Buckland, Rose Clark, Josie Stump, Prema Rich, Odessa Meador, Ruby Meadows, Roy Lee Meadows and Ricky Meador.
He is survived by: his spouse Jewel Hatfield Meadows; his daughters, Angela Meadows of Sumter and Amy Robbins (Bryan) of Sumter; his grandchildren, Perrin Thompson of Sumter, Logan Thompson of Sumter, Caitlyn Robbins Hensley of Sumter and Keira Robbins of Sumter; his great grandchild Bella Hensley; and his siblings, Arnold Glenn Meadows, Florence Redden, Hazel Mudd and Ina Swartz. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home (221 Broad St, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home (221 Broad St, Sumter, SC 29150).
