She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Gregg and Almeta Gregg; her husband Robert J. Sanders; her children, Patrice Sanders Bess and Ronald Wayne Sanders; her granddaughter Denise Bess; and also, Walter and Almeta Gregg.
She is survived by: her friend Frances Rosanna Sanders; her children, Robert James Sanders III of Georgia and Melanie Sanders Stewart of Florence, SC; her grandchildren, Michael Bess, Wendy Brown, Ryan Sanders and Alyxandria Stewart; her great grandchildren, Quentin Brown, Me'Kayla Loney, Johnathan Norris, Tionna Loney and Melody Norris; and her goddaughters, Lacreasha Brown, Kenndra Brown and Ebony Murphy. She is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Palmer Memorial Chapel - Sumter (304 S Main St, Sumter, SC 29150). A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at 675 S Lafayette Dr, Sumter, SC 29150. A burial was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at the Hillside Memorial Park (3001 Cains Mill Rd, Sumter, SC 29154).
