He was predeceased by: his parents, George Byard McEwen, Sr. and Thelma DeWitt McEwen; and his son George B. "Chip" McEwen, III. He is survived by: his wife Gloria W. Gardner McEwen; his brother Howard DeWitt McEwen (Tappy); his daughter Laura Fogarty (Tim); and his stepchildren, Eddie Wilder (Renee), Donna Boyle (Barnes), Lisa Ray and Kim Rodberg. He is also survived by his family, and friends.
