He was predeceased by: his parents, George Pinkney Scott, Sr. and Carrie Mae Smith Scott. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Lynn Scott; his children, Brian Scott (Pam) of Sumter, Betsy Beatson (Brad) of Sumter and Greg McLeod (Crystal) of Sumter; his grandchildren, Chandler Scott, Brady Beatson, Blair Beatson and Mason Heck; and his siblings, Charles David Scott of Sumter, Georgia Barber (Jack) of Moultrie, GA, Lynn Breland of Hattiesburg, MS and Connie Avins (Horace) of Sumter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
