With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gloria Jean Dargan (Sumter, South Carolina), born in Wedgefield, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 24, 2025 at the age of 78. Though Gloria may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Marcus Sr. Olden and Gertrude Olden. She was also cherished by her children, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wayman Chapel AME Church (160 N Kings Hwy, Sumter, SC 29154).
