It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Marus of Sumter, South Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2026, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Marus and Gloria Marus; his former wife Carol Moessmang-Marus; and his son Brad Wilkes. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Roberts-Marus; his brother David Marus (Dianne) of Florence, AZ.; his children, Jennifer Marus-Amerson (James) of Pinewood, Frances Hallman (Bobby) of Dalzell, SC, Gloria Bryant (Clint) of Sumter, SC. and Kevin Wilkes (Mickie) of Sumter, SC.; and his grandchildren, Lane (Sydney), Seth Amerson, Melissa, Dylan Hallman and Avery Bryant.
