He is survived by: his parents, Joseph E. "Gene" Burns and Rose Marie Wilder Burns; his sister Pamela Burns Rogers; his nieces, Ashton Ward (Morgan) and Hannah Barkley (Jonathon); his great-niece Millie Ward; and his great-nephew Oliver Barkley.
