Hattie Scarborough Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 29, 2021, at the age of 74, Hattie Scarborough of Sumter, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Spann and Ida Mae Linton Spann; her brothers, Sammie Spann, Jr. and Ervin Spann; her adoptive children, Jed Robinson and Annette T. Robinson; and her siblings-in-law, Henry Scarborough, Matthew Scarborough, Thomas Pearson and Alice Scarborough Pearson.

She is survived by: her husband Sam Scarborough; her children, Robin Meoshi Scarborough and Corey Tehran Scarborough; her adoptive children, Angelia Brown (Bobby), Denis Stewart (Luke), Tara Morrison (Rodney), Regina James (George) and Angel Bulter (Derryl); her sisters-in-law, Bettie Pearson (Willie), Lucille Cabbagestalk (Elijah), Ann Dudley and Merry Scarborough; her aunts, Lizzie L. Scarborough, Maggie Scarborough and Amelia Scarborough; and her close friends, Bertie Lou Thomas, Mary D. Hallums and Blondell Johnson. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.
