It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Alston of Sumter, South Carolina, who passed away on June 21, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel Alston and Margaret McLeod; his significant other Estelle Hammond; his children, Keith Alston, Kevin Alston (Tanya) and Kathy Alston; his grandson John Scipio; and his sisters, Edna Rembert of North Carolina and Shirley Lokey of Philadelphia, PA..
