With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Homer Hunt (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on November 19, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Homer Hunt to pay them a last tribute.

As Homer departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Homer. Though Homer may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Frances Richmond Hunt; his parents, Carl Roderick Hunt and Margaret Emma Smick Hunt; and his brother Richard Hunt. He is survived by: his children, Thomas R. Hunt (Laura Bass) of Clemson, SC, Steven W. Hunt (Juli) of Las Vegas, NV, Chris Ann O'Brien (Stephen) of Clemson, SC and Traci K. Forbes (Raymond) of Manning, SC; and his sister Diane Davis (Denzil) of Magnolia, Ohio. He is also survived by five Grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Marks Methodist Church (27 Broad St, Sumter, SC 29150).

In lieu of flowers, Homer supported the following organizations, St. Marks Methodist Church in Sumter, St. Judes and Tunnels for Towers.

“We will miss Mr. Hunt so much in our office at Sumter Internal Medicine. I will miss our talks of our Clemson Tigers. He was one of the finest men I have ever met. He loved his family and his country and was an inspiration to us all. Fly high Mr. Hunt. You will never be forgotten. God bless his family and give them strength and comfort at this most difficult time.....”
