He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Columbus Wright and Mary Ida Geddings Wright; and his brothers, Hal Avins, Horace Avins, Jessie Avis and John Garrett.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Eugene Wright of Sumter and Christina Brettelle (Jack) of Sumter; his sister Ida McManus of Michigan; his grandsons, Michael Brettelle (Helen) and Christopher Brettelle (Hannah); his great grandchildren, April Brettelle, John Brettelle, Jack Brettelle and Kimberly Brettelle; and his caregiver Patricia Wright (Eva Diane Felder).
