It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E Cabbagestalk (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on July 10, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Cabbagestalk and Robina Dixon Cabbagestalk; and his siblings, Leroy Cabbagestalk, Larry Cabbagestalk, Paul Cabbagestalk, Jr. and Eliza Ann Alston.
He is survived by: his sons, Frederick L. Cabbagestalk, Minister and Shabazz; his wife Delores Hodge; his stepson Cederick Humes of Sumter; his grandsons, Jacquard Grinnell of McAllen, Ehrick Cabbagestalk of Columbia and Jaylin McFadden of Salters; his great grandchild Maliyah M. Grinnell of McAllen, Texas; and his sisters, Reverend Roberta C. Josey of Sumter, Juanita C. Joe (Matt) of Sumter and Robina C. Richardson (Charles) of Sumter.
In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 1040 Porter Street, Sumter.
