Mathis, Jr. (Wendy); his grandchildren, Sean-Luke Mathis, Cassia Linda Mathis Taylor and Calista Ann Mathis Matthews; his great grandchildren, Grizzley Matthews, Coyote Matthews and Asen Taylor; his sister Dorothy "Dotty" Lyles (Dan); his nieces, Tami Griffin, Keleigh Corbett (Carl) and Paige Stokes (Danny); and his nephew Chuck Van Patten.
