He was predeceased by: his wife Irene Jackson Selfridge; his parents, John Leonard Selfridge and Iantha "Bunny" Hair Selfridge; his sister Barbara Gunsauls; and his brother-in-law Bobby Rabon.
He is survived by: his children, Richard L. Selfridge (Tina) of Columbia, James Selfridge (Hollie) of Alabama, Susan Selfridge Farmer of Alabama and Kathy Selfridge Turner (Keith) of Sumter; his siblings-in-law, Juanita Rabon of Sumter and H. F. Jackson (Meredith) of Ft. Mill, SC; his grandchildren, Shaun Waddell (Lindsay), Jamey Selfridge, Kaylee Selfridge and Carly Selfridge; his great grandchildren, Taya Waddell and Rowan Waddell; and his pet Benji. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; three step-grandchildren, thirteen step great-grandchildren, and one step great-great grandchild.
