It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Hardee (Sumter, South Carolina), born in Dillon, South Carolina, who passed away on March 31, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Heber Hardee and Katie Baker Hardee; and his siblings, Gilany Martin, Junius Hardee, Jimmie Hardee, Highland Hardee and Maderia Hardee.

He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Healan Hardee; his children, Dwayne Hardee (Janet), Jason Hardee (Amanda) and Kristen Love Walton (Cole); his grandchildren, Justin Hardee, Clayton Hardee (Kayla), Jay Hardee, Daulton Hardee (Darcy), Mary Beth Hardee and William Hardee; his great grandchild Naomi Jane Hardee; and his sister Hermana H. Thompson of Summerville.

Memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church, 2445 Old Manning Rd., Sumter, SC 29150.

“Sadly while searching, verifying his recently found phone number I discover he had recently passed. So sorry this had happen. My husband and I (Mark and Sharon Rooks) had rented the upstairs home Murrells Inlet. Really enjoyed our stay there. Sadly Mark passed end of July, from heart failure, just 58 years old. I had wanted to share this sad news with Mr Jerry, Mark always thought highly of him. Thoughts and prayers for all his family.”
