He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe S. Welch and Mamie Collins Welch. He is survived by: his children, Tony E. Welch (Jennie) and Cindy Norwood (Everett); and his grandson Craig T. Berberich.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Harmony Church (1021 Sterling St, Sumter, SC 29153). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
