He is survived by: his wife Linda Ross Myers; his daughters, Dawn O'Connell (Ben) of Washington, DC and Jenny Chandler of Ashburn, VA; his granddaughters, Madeleine and Frances O'Connell of Washington, DC; his siblings, Joseph Myers (JoAnn) of Mandeville, LA, Judith Myers of Lake Charles, LA and Kathy Andras of Dallas, TX; his stepson James Mathis, Jr. (Wendy) of Birmingham, AL; and his stepgrandchildren, Cassia Taylor (Galin) of Richton, MS, Calista Matthews (Jonathan) of Lexington, SC and Sean Mathis of Birmingham, AL. He is also survived by step-grandsons; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home (221 Broad St, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home (221 Broad St, Sumter, SC 29150).
