With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Colclough Sr. (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on January 12, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Charlie Colclough; and his siblings, David, Henry, William Colclough, Viola Hadley, Elizabeth Coplin and Ida Mae Myers.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Chandler; his children, Joseph Jr. of Sumter, Payton (Cheryl) of Charlotte, NC, Cheryl Harrison (late Theodore) of Columbia and Lanna Wright (Arnold) of Goose Creek; his sister-in-law Gardenia Colclough of Sumter; his grandchildren, Cherelle, Alina, Desmond, Austin, Chandler, Arnise and Lauren; his niece Viola Myers; his nephew George Myers; and his goddaughters, Janice Singleton Goins, Valarie Pitts Sanders, Jeannine Pitts Gregg and Marie Hinton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In accord with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friend during visitation from 4:00 – 7:00 p. m at the home, 4665 Patriot Parkway, Sumter.
