He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Francis Schang and Mary Beaston Schang; and his brother Michael. He is survived by: his spouse Marion Elizabeth Crowley Schang; his daughter Katherine E. McCaskey (Steven) of Sumter; his grandchildren, Jamie E Stone (Phillip) of Sumter, Sarah K. McCaskey of Sumter, Eric J. McCaskey of Sumter, Madison S. and Blair D. Schang of Madison, Connecticut; his great grandchildren, Kyleen E., Kathleen S. and Rowan J. Stone of Sumter; and his siblings, Mary E. O'Brien of Cinnaminson and Charles J. Schang of Runnemede.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel (1190 Wilson Hall Rd, Sumter, SC 29150). A reception will be held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 11:45 AM at the Bullock Funeral Home (1190 Wilson Hall Rd, Sumter, SC 29150). The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery (802 N Guignard Dr, Sumter, SC 29150).
