She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene T. Kirby and Emmie Covington Kirby; and her siblings, Ronald Kirby, Michael Kirby and Blanche Moore.
She is survived by: her husband James W. "J. W." Brown; her children, Traci Rodgers, Debbie Harrell and Walt Brown; her grandchildren, Owen Rodgers, Sydney Harrell Finn, Drew Harrell and Emma Brown; and her sisters, Janice McCutcheon, Dianne Miles and Kathy Parrish.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Brown-Brunson Family Cemetery (3980 Britton Brogdon Rd, Sumter, SC 29153).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 34 Washington Street, Suite 230, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.
