It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Williams Johnston (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on May 18, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Daniel Williams and Susie Martha Clark Williams; and her sister Esther Williams Johnston. She is survived by: her children, James Andy Johnston (Pharon), Joan McElhinney and Pamela J. Castro (Robert); her grandchildren, Sonya Butler, Johnny Besser, Brian Johnston, April K. Johnston, Christopher Okerlund, Kyle Okerlund, Eric Castro and Leah DeBerry; her great grandchildren, Destiny, Dylan, Lucy, Jack, Taylor, Madison, Brittany, Sam, Kinsey, John, Jake and Ben; and her siblings, Mary Ann Williams, James Daniel Williams, Jr. and Burnett Rhett Williams. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
