He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Brooks, Jr. and Hester Louise Lane Brooks; his sister Thomasina Brooks Greene; and his nephew Steven Brooks Williams. He is survived by: his son Delvin Alston (Jacinta M.); his grandchildren, Tyrique J. Alston, Jordyn D. Alston of Sumter, Jaden D. Alston of Great Lakes and Navy; his siblings, Emily Davis, Pauline Miller, Marie Brooks, Eugene B. Brooks, Vernon L. Brooks, Karen Smith (Timothy) of Sumter, Benjamin Brooks, Sr. (Theresa) of Woodstock, MD, Deborah J. Williams (Sam) of Southfield, MI, Mary E. Brooks-Brown (John) of Charlotte, NC, Patricia Brooks of Yorktown, VA and Konnie Stamps of Concord, NC.; his uncle James Brooks (Elouise) of Sumter, SC; and his aunts, Maggie Lane of Sumter, SC and Virginia Champion (Marion) of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Due to Covid, there will be no visitations.

A Zoom Memorial Tribute will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 5:30 P.M.
