She was predeceased by: her husband Howard Clifton Sumner, Sr.; and her parents, Mark McCoy Lewis and Lena Pauline Johnson Lewis. She is survived by: her children, Howard C. Sumner, Jr. (Danita), Richard D. Sumner and Cheryl S. Huggins (Marcus); and her siblings, Larry Lewis, Tom Lewis, Alice Ammons, Sara Buffkin and Willadean Moore (John). She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
