With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Leroy L. Cromartie (Sumter, South Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver H. Cromartie, Jr. and Mary R. Gardner Cromartie; and his siblings, James Gardner and Evelyn C. Tann. He is survived by: his wife Britanna P. Cromartie; his daughter Dr. Alberta Sierra Neal (Pierre); his grandsons, Pierre Ricardo Neal II of Sumter and Christopher Andrew Neal of Sumter; and his nephews, Jibreel Muhammad (Niya) of Jersey City and Rodney Tann of Richmond, Virginia. He is also survived by grandnieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home (821 N Main St, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 5:00 PM and on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Pisgah A.M.E. Church Building Fund, 217 West Bartlett Street, Sumter, SC 29150.
