It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillie Pressley White (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on June 12, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John White; and her parents, Robert Grant and Lillie Jackson Pressley. She is survived by: her children, Willie Mae Simmons of Sumter, Mary Pack (Robert) of Dalzell, William Pressley (Lillie) of Sumter and Larry Pressley (Annette) of Sumter; and her sisters, Carolyn J. George of Dalzell, Dorothy Charles of Sumter, Inez Smalls and Berthea Tedder of Yonkers, NY. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren; twenty four great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation from 2:00 – 6:00 p. m., at the home, 2625 Yank Haven Drive, Sumter.
