She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Laney, Jr. and Lucille Mimms Laney. She is survived by: her husband John "Duke" Kitzak; and her sisters, Sandra "Suzy" Laney Roberts (Joe) of Sumter and Brenda Laney May of Rutherfordton, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
