She is survived by: her children, Wendie Griffin (Chris) of Sumter and Nick Carter (Jennifer Marie) of Sumter; her grandchildren, Sherry Jacks (Jamie), Clayton Carter (Stacy), Kevin Carter, Heath Griffin (Julie), Dane Griffin (Hillary) and Christopher Geddings; her close friend James Hudson; and her nephew Olin "Knocker" Shirer. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
