He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Cabbagestalk and Mary Mickens Cabbagestalk. He is survived by: his spouse Berince McMillon Ray; his children, Earline Maccou (Jose) of Sumter, Helen Vaughn of Tampa, Fla, Mary Ann Ray, Naomi Ray of Sumter, Freddie Ray of Sumter and Nathaniel Ray of Avon Park, Fla.; and his siblings, Elsie Jennings (James), Carrie Tention (Bobby) and Willie Robert Cabbagestalk (Louette). He is also survived by nieces, nephews that he loved unconditionally along with an abundance of friends.
In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitations at the home, 5445 Colclough Plantation Road, Sumter.
