He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Dewey and Evelyn Warner Newman; and his sister Kathy Newman Griffin. He is survived by: his children, Shannon N. Gragg of Maryville, Linda Nesbitt of Lake City, Becky Feldman (Aaron) of Sumter and Warner Newman (Alyssa) of Sumter; his grandchildren, Memphis, Cora Gragg, Jacob, Joshua Feldman, Austin Floyd (Rowan), Taylor Shapley and Addilyn Nesbitt; his great grandchildren, Jay and Johnny Floyd; and his siblings, Whit Newman (Janet) and Karen Newman.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Zoar Church (1315 Zoar Church Rd, Sumter, SC 29153). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
