Martha Finley Obituary
We announce the death of Martha Finley of Sumter, South Carolina, who passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 94. Martha will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Martha will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Martha will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Martha’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Kay and Estee Maddox Kay; her husband George T Finley; her siblings, Robert Kay, Elizabeth Sawyer and Ruby Elrod; her siblings-in-law, Wayne Finley and Elizabeth Colemon; and her son-in-law Chris Rocca.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Faye Kay of Honea Path, SC.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Church of the Holy Comforter (213 N Main St, Sumter, SC 29150).
