He is survived by: his spouse LaNelle Mixon Atkinson; his son Marvin Eugene "Marty" Atkinson, Jr. (Jamie); and his grandchildren, Reese Michelle Atkinson, Connor Sloan Atkinson and Naomi Claire Atkinson.
