With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marvin Wayne Vannoy of Sumter, South Carolina, who passed away on November 26, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Riley Vannoy and Mable Lee Vannoy; and his siblings, Milbert Vannoy, Richard Vannoy, Robert Vannoy, LeRoy Vannoy, Hazel Swingle and Elanor Lively.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Chambers Vannoy; his children, Larry Wayne Vannoy (Lisa) of Madison, AL, Kevin Lane Vannoy (Roberta) of Sumter and Cathy Lynn Vannoy Parker (Kenneth) of Duluth, GA; his sister Daisy June Copeland (Chuck) of Pheonix, AZ; and his grandchildren, Jessica, Kevin Lane, Ashley, Dustin, Adam, Heather, Shannon, Ryan and Joshua. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sumter United Ministries, 36 S. Artillery Drive, Sumter, SC 29150.
