With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary L J Woods of Sumter, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 2, 2025 at the age of 77. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Mary leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Mary may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Louise "Bloom" Richardson Jenkins and Steven Jenkins. She was also cherished by her family, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Mechanicsville United Methodist Church (184 Lake Ashwood Rd, Sumter, SC 29153). A reception will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 2069 Gion St, Sumter, SC 29150.
