He was predeceased by: his parents, C. P. Mixon, Jr. and Ethel P. "Tippy" Elam Mixon; and his brother-in-law William Rogers. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Craft Mixon; his sons, Mark E. Mixon (Lori) of Pelzer and Clayton L. Mixon (Jennifer) of Saint George; his grandchildren, Gabriel Medina, Mandy Medina and Melina Cleveland; his brothers, Melvin Mixon (Linda) of Sumter and Walker Mixon (Loretta) of Sumter; and his sister-in-law Billie Rogers of Manning.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sumter Cemetery (700 W Oakland Ave, Sumter, SC 29151).
