We announce the death of Mildred Parker (Sumter, South Carolina), born in Effingham, South Carolina, who passed away on June 25, 2026, at the age of 88. Mildred will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hillary Wilkes and Mary Mixon Wilkes; her former husband Franklin Parnell Parker; and her children, Robert Parker and Jeanette Jones.
She is survived by: her husband RueLea; her children, George "Max" Parker (Karen) of Sumter, Deborah Sarvis of Florida and Evelyn Parker; and her granddaughter Taylor Parker. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, RueLea requested that donations be made to Amedisys Hospice who were phenomenal in their care for her.
